Rate Rebates (War Disability Pensioners)

asked the Minister of Social Security what consultations she has had concerning the need to exempt war disability pensions when assessing the entitlement of an applicant to rate rebate; and if she will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend has on a number of occasions received representations on this subject from bodies representing ex-Service interests, and we keep in close touch with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government about them.

I have nothing to add to the statement made on 21st June, 1968, by my hon. Friend the Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government during the debate on the Rate Rebate (Limits of Income) Order, 1968.
