§ 68. Mr. Waddingtonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations he has received from the Conference of North-East Lancashire Authorities with regard to the impact on North-East Lancashire of the Central Lancashire New Town Proposal; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MacCollThe Conference have suggested a number of measures which they consider desirable in the interests of North-East Lancashire. My right hon. Friend is considering these together with comments from the Regional Economic Planning Council and other local authorities on the proposed new town. He is not yet in a position to make a statement.
