§ Mr. Gregor Mackenzieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from Lanarkshire County Council to limit the speed of traffic on the East Kilbride Road between Fishescoates Road and Cathkin Road end; and what reply he has given.
§ Mr. RossLanark County Council wrote on 28th February, 1968, asking that its earlier proposal for a 40 m.p.h. speed limit on this road should be reconsidered. Subsequently the Council submitted for grant an improvement scheme affecting part of this section of road. The two applications are being considered together, and I hope to write to the Council soon.
