HC Deb 10 July 1968 vol 768 c78W
Mr. Bishop

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will seek to amend the Companies Act in order to ensure that companies and commercial concerns making donations to political parties may do so only after obtaining the consent of their shareholders.

Mr. Crosland

I think that the provision in the Companies Act, 1967, which requires political contributions to be disclosed is sufficient.
