HC Deb 10 July 1968 vol 768 c64W
47. Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many completed advance factories in Scotland are currently without tenants; and what is the total value of public funds invested in these factories.

50. Mr. G. Campbell

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many advance factories in Scotland are now empty; and how many now under construction in Scotland are without prospective tenants.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

There are 13 completed Board of Trade advance factories in Scotland currently without tenants; the total value of public funds invested in these factories is just over £1 million, including the cost of land. Ten Board of Trade advance factories are under construction in Scotland; of these one has already been allocated and interest has been expressed in one other.

85. Mr. William Hamilton

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many advance factories remain un-tenanted in Fife; how long has each been completed; and how soon he estimates they will be occupied.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

Three remain untenanted and these have been completed for 26 months, 17 months and one year respectively. I cannot say when they will be occupied but one has been allocated, two applications have been made for another and keen interest is being shown in the third.
