HC Deb 09 July 1968 vol 768 c56W
Mr. G. Campbell

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many local authorities in Scotland have had to alter their rent schemes as a result of the Government's endorsement of the recent recommendation of the National Board for Prices and Incomes;

(2) how many local authorites in Scotland are likely to lose a part of the resources element of the rate support grant because they have had to alter their rent schemes as a result of the Government's endorsement of the recent recommendation of the National Board for Prices and Incomes.

Mr. Ross

So far three local authorities have notified me of schemes involving increases exceeding the upper limits already announced and I am considering whether any of them need be asked to moderate the increases. In none of these cases would there be any resulting loss of the resources element of rate support grant.
