§ Mr. MillanThe age requirements of an applicant for an adoption order, and other aspects of adoption law, are based on the 1954 report of the departmental committee on the adoption of children. My Department and the Home Office are already collecting information on the working of the present law, and suggestions for its improvement, and the point made by my hon. and learned Friend will be kept in mind.
