§ 33. Mr. Stodartasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to encourage the growing of more timber in Scotland, suitable for making into chipwood.
§ Dr. Dickson MabonEncouragement is already available through grants for private woodland owners. In addition the Government recently announced a major increase in the Forestry Commission's future planting programme. It is, however, impossible to predict the eventual use of the timber produced from trees planted now or in the years to come.
