§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the total amount of tax reliefs allowed, in the years 1964–65, 1965–66, and 1966–67, in respect of life assurance and endowment policies entered into by taxpayers to cover the cost of school fees; and what estimate he has made of the cost to the Exchequer of tax relief on interest paid on loans made by banks and insurance companies for the same purpose.
