HC Deb 30 January 1968 vol 757 cc262-3W
Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Health what was the estimated revenue from private beds in the last year for which figures are available over the whole country; and what fall in revenue is expected in the forthcoming financial year as a result of the proposed reductions in the number of private beds.

Mr. K. Robinson

As regards the first part of the Question I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Reading (Mr. John Lee) on 19th January. As regards the second part, the reduced number of pay beds should be adequate to meet the present demand, and I expect no significant change in revenue as a result of the reductions.
