§ 69. Sir J. Vaughan-Morganasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in order to facilitate informed discussion of his forthcoming budget, he will publish as White Papers in advance of Budget day, the full official pre-budget forecasts of the national income and expenditure at constant and at current prices, and of the balance of payments, and on Budget day itself, the fully revised official forecasts to take account of the effects, as then estimated, of budget measures.

§ 78. Sir J. Vaughan-Morganasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps he is taking to facilitate the consideration by the Government of the full effects of Budget measures on the balance of payments and domestic economy before the Budget is announced and to facilitate their subsequent consideration by Parliament.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsI shall do my best to ensure that the effects of any measures I announce in my Budget have been fully assessed when decisions are being taken and are adequately expounded when I present the Budget.
