§ Mr. Cleggasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) in what fields of local government he has advised local authorities to make cuts in public expenditure;
(2) in view of the cuts to be made in local authority expenditure, if he will make a statement on the principles on which he will either approve or reject applications by local auhorities for loan sanction.
