Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

asked the Minister of Power whether agreement has been reached with stockholders' representatives on the values under the Iron and Steel Act. 1967, of the unquoted steel securities.

Mr. Marsh

Agreement has been reached on the values of the ordinary shares of the English Steel Corporation Limited. The values are as follows:

"A" and "B" Ordinary Shares, fully paid 35s. 6.98d.
"A" and "B" Ordinary Shares, 1 s. paid 1 s. 9.349d.

These values are after the deduction of the amount of the special dividend paid by the company in 1965. The date for conversion is today.

The values of other unquoted securities have yet to be settled.
