§ Mr. BennThe monetary saving in planned expenditure other than on staff at the Ministry's industrial research stations in Scotland in 1968–69 will be £17,000. Within the overall standstill, additional staff are required for the priority tasks of manning the newly created Institute of Advanced Machine Tool and Control Technology, and improving the services provided by the National Engineering Laboratory to the engineering industry.
