§ Mr. Higginsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what assumptions Her Majesty's Government are now making about the growth in real resources for each of the next five years when carrying out their current review of Government expenditure.
§ Mr. Roy Jenkins:I believe we can reckon on a growth rate of some 4 per cent. a year for this year and next. The Government is not yet ready to suggest a figure for later years.
