Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state, 650W in respect of the first year of the operation of the Selective Employment Tax, the total amount collected, the total amount refunded the total amount of premiums paid, and the total cost to the Government of administering this tax.
§ Mr. Diamond:I estimate that in the first full year, i.e. 1967–68, the figures will be approximately as follows:
