§ Mr. Maclennanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland which rivers in the seven crofting counties are in public ownership.
§ Mr. RossSo far as I am aware the rivers wholly in public ownership are the following:
County Rivers Argyll … Strontian Polloch Forsa (Mull) Inverness … Staffin and a number of other small streams in Skye Sutherland … Strathy In addition parts of a large number of other rivers in the crofting counties are publicly owned.
