§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will give details of the British contribution to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Underwater Research Establishment at La Spezia.
§ Mr. MasonThe United Kingdom contributes to the cost of running the Centre through N.A.T.O. common funding arrangements. It also lends suitably qualified personnel to work at the Centre, and provides representation on the Committees associated with it. There is in addition a constant flow of information to and from the Centre through the United Kingdom National Liaison Officer.
