§ Sir Knox Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will state the reasons for the differences in the rules governing the commutation of Service pensions as between officers and other ranks; and if, in the changed conditions of the present day, he will take steps to make the same facilities available for both officers and other ranks.
§ Mr. ReynoldsThe reasons are mainly historical. The present rules are under review, but I am unable to say at present when this review will be complete.
