§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, why a Ministerial representative from the Scottish Office did not attend the meeting in London on 2nd February, 1968, between the Scottish Union of Students, the National Union of Students and the Department of Education and Science on the subject of students' grants.
§ Mr. RossThis meeting was arranged at very short notice and it was impracticable for a Scottish Office Minister to be present.
The Joint Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State responsible for educational matters did, however, meet representatives of the Scottish Union of Students on 14th February.
