§ 81. Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations he has now made to the South African Government about the illegal trial of South-West Africans in Pretoria in order to comply with the resolution of the Security Council adopted on 26th January; and what response he has received.
§ Mr. Goronwy Roberts:Her Majesty's Ambassador in Cape Town has on instructions expressed to the South African authorities Her Majesty's Government's concern about the trial. As my hon. Friend will be aware such exchanges are confidential.
§ 82. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government sent an official observer to the trial in Pretoria of the 35 South-West Africans whose trial has been condemned by the United Nations Security Council.
