§ Mr. John Leeasked the Minister of Transport whether she will publish the Report on compulsory passenger liability insurance submitted to her by the Committee on Motor Insurance as a Factor in Road Safety; and what action she proposes to take on it.
§ Mrs. Castle:I have today placed copies of the report in the Vote Office. It is an extensive analysis of the problem and I am most grateful to the Committee, and to their Chairman, Sir Harold Kent, for the time and thought they have put into it. No course of action on this problem of passenger liability insurance for motor vehicles is simple. Before reaching a decision myself, I am seeking the views of the organisations most directly concerned. Copies of the Report will be supplied on request to any other organisations who wish to see it and to comment.
