Member for Newark regarding periodicals tending to corrupt and deprave, and openly available on the bookstalls of London and provinces, he will now seek to amend the Obscene Publications Acts, 1959 and 1965.
§ Mr. Taverne:No. It is already an offence under the 1959 Act to publish an article if its effect is such as to tend to deprave and corrupt persons who are likely, having regard to all relevant circumstances, to read, see or hear it.
