§ Mr. Harry Howarthasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what proposals he has received from the Northamptonshire County Council Education Committee regarding their decision to cease to maintain the voluntary controlled infants school, Winstanley Road, Wellingborough; and what reply he has sent.
§ Mr. Gordon Walker:The authority have informed me that they propose to cease to maintain the school and have given public notice of their intention in accordance with the provisions of Section 13 of the Education Act, 1944. Until the expiry of the statutory period of two months within which objections may be submitted to me, I cannot come to any decision in the matter.
