§ Dame Joan Vickersasked the Secretary of State for Defence, in view of the fact that a period of approximately six weeks is needed to train men in the Army for service in tropical climates, especially in the different conditions of deserts and jungles, what arrangements are being made, and where the training is to take place.
§ Mr. Boyden:Units stationed in the United Kingdom already carry out exer- 416W cises overseas in a wide variety of terrain and climate, including desert and jungle. We are making appropriate plans for future training.
