§ 78. Mr. Sandysasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT particulars of the ships of all kinds which have been ordered by his Department from shipbuilders outside the United Kingdom during the past three years, together with the dates on which the contracts were placed.
§ Mr. Mason:The only vessel so ordered by my Department is one diving tender for use in the Far East which was ordered in April, 1967 from a Singapore subsidiary of a British firm.
