§ 57. Mr. Leadbitterasked the Minister of Labour what further consideration he has given to the provision of a Government industrial training centre at Hartlepool.
§ Mr. Hattersley:We are reviewing the need for more Government Training centres, but there are no present plans for a centre at Hartlepool. The two existing centres at Billingham and Tursdale are within daily travelling distance of Hartlepool and Billingham is being extended to provide 78 more training places. My hon. Friend will also be aware that two new centres, at Darlington and near Durham, are planned to open by the end of 1969.
