§ Mr. HattersleyThe estimated numbers of employees in employment in Wales at March, 1967, the latest date for which information is available, were 945,000 (634,000 males and 311,000 females). The only estimates available for 1957 relate to June when the corresponding figures were 937,000 (673,000 males and 264,000 females). The employment estimates are based on counts of National Insurance cards which do not distinguish between full-time and part-time workers. Estimates for June, 1967 will be available later this month.
