§ Mr. Lomasasked the Minister of Transport when she proposes to implement the Road Traffic (Driving Instruction) Act requiring the compulsory registration of driving instructors.
§ Mr. Carmichael:My right hon. Friend hopes to implement the greater part of this Act in the near future following consultations with the interests concerned. As my hon. Friend, the Joint Parliamentary Secretary announced during the Third Reading, the provisions specifically relating to compulsory registration will be introduced some two years later.—[Vol. 748, c. 996.]
