§ 76. Mr. Wallasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs (1) if he will make a statement on his recent talks with the Prime Minister of Malta;
(2) if he will make a statement about the future of the dockyard in Malta.
§ Mr. George ThomsonMy talks with the Malta Prime Minister have been about matters of mutual concern. The main subject discussed was the future of the Malta Dockyard.
Although the question of the ownership of the dockyard is primarily a matter for the Malta Government we realise the importance of finding a satisfactory settlement. The two Governments will remain in close touch about this problem.
