36. Mr. MichaelShaw asked the Minister of Power what is his policy with regard to the cheap block tariffs for large users of electricity so that they may purchase supplies at realistic rates and not loaded rates.
§ Mr. MarshBlock tariffs are normally available only to domestic consumers and the smaller commercial, industrial and miscellaneous users. For large users, maximum demand tariffs or special agreements are generally considered by Electricity Boards to be more appropriate.
