§ Mr. SwinglerIt had been intended to hold an inquiry under the powers given in the Acquisition of Land (Authorisation Procedure) Act 1946 into the Compulsory Purchase Order providing for the acquisition of property needed for the road widening, but it now appears that the Oxfordshire County Council will acquire the property by agreement. In 17W these circumstances the question of the powers under which it would be appropriate to hold an inquiry is under consideration with the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
