Mr. Biffenasked the Minister of Labour if he will make a statement on the settlement of municipal bus workers' pay resulting in an increase in the driver's basic rate of 7.7 per cent., in the light of the report of the National Board for Prices and Incomes and the talks he has been having with representatives of the employers and the unions.
§ Mr. HattersleyMy right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Labour have referred this settlement to the National Board for Prices and Incomes and have directed that a standstill shall be imposed on its implementation.
