§ Mr. DiamondThe estimated expenditure to Decimalisation Day in February, 1971, by Government Departments is £23½ million. This figure does not take into account the cost of a new Mint in Wales, the scrap value of withdrawn £ s. d. coins that will be realised after Decimalisation Day, or the value of the silver in the withdrawn coins.
