§ Mr. Edward Lyonsasked the Attorney General whether he will introduce legislation to bring illegitimate children within the definition of dependants entitled to apply for provision out of the estate of a deceased person under the Inheritance (Family Provision) Act, 1938, as amended by the Intestates' Definition Estates Act, 1952.
§ The Attorney-GeneralClause 17 of the Family Law Reform Bill, which was introduced by my noble Friend the Lord Chancellor in another place on 31st October, brings illegitimate children within the definition of dependents for the purposes of the relevant legislation.
