§ Mr. M. StewartHer Majesty's Government have agreed to provide £700,000 in response to the appeal by the International Committee of the Red Cross. This is in addition to the previous grant of £270,000 for food, drugs, transport equipment and medical teams. These represent a substantial contribution.
Existing operations to take supplies into the area under Colonel Ojukwu's control will prove inadequate unless there is agreement on daylight flights and the movement of bulk supplies by land.
