§ Mr. Peter M. Jacksonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will seek to obtain from local education authorities an assessment of the effects of his recent Memorandum 9/66, Addendum 1, on the level of enrolment for the first year of off-the-job industrial training.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsI see no reason for a special assessment of this kind. Normal channels of communication are sufficient to ensure that I am informed of any significant effect of this or any other relevant factor on enrolments for off-the-job training courses at colleges of further education.
