§ Mr. MacArthurasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what information he has now received from education authorities regarding the number of teachers actively engaged in teaching who have not yet registered with the General Teaching Council.
§ Mr. RossThe latest information I have is that there are in the schools about 1,200 teachers who are entitled to register but have not yet applied for registration, and that there are some 700 who have applied but from whom the fee has not yet been received. Applications for registration and fee payments continue to be received.
