§ Mr. FernyhoughEmployment statistics for local areas are compiled only on the basis of the Standard Industrial Classification. The analyses show the total106W numbers of employees in each industry irrespective of whether they are employed by nationalised industries, Government Departments or private sector employers. The analyses requested are therefore not available and could only be provided at an unduly heavy staff cost.
