HC Deb 09 December 1968 vol 775 cc29-30W
Mr. Haseldine

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many pairs of conventional surgical shoes were issued under the National Health Service in 1967; and what was the average cost per pair.

Mr. Snow

Separate figures for surgical shoes are not available but it is estimated that about 84,000 pairs of surgical footwear were supplied under the National Health Service in 1967 at an average cost of about £14 per pair.
