asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proportion of the £100 million allocated for new hospital building in 1967–68 was received by the South-East Metropolitan Regional Board; and what the share is expected to be in the year 1968–69.

4.7 per cent. in 1967–68 and 5.8 per cent. in 1968–69; the totals for England and Wales in these years being respectively £90.5 million and (estimated) £101.5 million The £100 million for 1967–68 referred to by the right hon. Member is closer to the Great Britain total for that year which was £103 million.
