§ 57. Dr. Grayasked the Minister of Transport what plans he has for developing the port of Great Yarmouth and improving its road connections to the North and Midlands.
§ Mr. CarmichaelThe responsibility for initiating port developments rests with the harbour authorities concerned.
The road programme provides for improvements to the A47 at Honingham, Great Yarmouth, Duddington, Tixover, Keythorpe and West Bridge, Leicester. Preparation work is proceeding on proposals for by-passes of King's Lynn and East Dereham. Proposals for further lengths of clearway on A47 are under consideration.
