§ Mr. BoydenThe figure of 166,000 for the Army in 1973 included the women's services and junior soldiers. British adult officers and soldiers will be about 153,000. About 106,000 of these will be in the teeth of the Army, including its ancillary support necessary for the fighting arms to carry out their rôle.
