§ Mr. Richard Wainwrightasked the Minister of Public Building and Works what research has been conducted by his Department in recent years into the effects of the vibration created by road traffic, 587W particularly in respect of structures adjoining trunk roads.
§ Mr. MellishTests carried out a few years ago in buildings adjoining busy London roads showed that traffic vibration caused no damage to structures. Recent work at the Building Research Station will greatly improve the control of noise from new motorways, which can disturb the occupants of buildings nearby.
