§ Mr. Leslie Huckfieldasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will withhold his consent to the transfer of ear, nose and throat in-patient facilities from Nuneaton hospitals to the Coventry Hospital at Wallsgrave.
§ Mr. EnnalsMy right hon. Friend's consent is not required and he sees no reason to intervene. The transfer is part of a reorganisation of services designed to make more efficient use of resources, including specialist staff, as recommended in Hospital Memorandum (68)31 issued by my Department in May this year.
