§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Postmaster-General what representations he has received recommending that in the reorganisation of the Post Office there should be separation of the administration of posts and telecommunications.
§ Mr. StonehousePosts and Telecommunications are, to a considerable extent, already separately administered within the Post Office. Since the reorganisation of the Post Office was announced I have received numerous suggestions for the future, including the idea of completely separate organisations for posts and telecommunications. I have not adopted this idea in the Bill proposing the future form of the Post Office for reasons which have been explained to the House.
