§ Mr. Ellisasked the Minister of Public Building and Works whether he will ensure that the cleaning of various monuments and public buildings, particularly in Trafalgar Square, will be finished in time for the tourist season.
§ Mr. MellishThe cleaning of Nelson's Column and Trafalgar Square is almost completed. The National Gallery, Admiralty Arch, the Mall frontage of the Admiralty, and the Old Treasury Building should be completed by early summer. The National Portrait Gallery is due for completion a little later.
