§ Mr. Oakesasked the Minister of Social Security how many and which industrial diseases are currently the subject of research under Section 71 of the National Insurance Act, 1948, with a view to prescription.
§ Mr. PentlandResearch under Section 71(1) of the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act, 1965, is at present being undertaken into vibration syndrome and the effects of industrial noise on hearing. Further work is about to be started into the possibility of an industrial connection between certain pulmonary infections and Anonymous Mycobacteria.
