(2) what representations he has received from the North-West Regional Economic Planning Council on the use of Lake Side to Plumpton Junction route by a voluntary company set up to manage this as a light railway.

§ Mr. MarshThe disposal of the track is a matter for the Railways Board, but my predecessor consulted the North-West Regional Economic Planning Council before agreeing to the disposal of the formation of the line. Any subsequent arrangements for its take-over and operation by a private company would also be a matter for the Board who have, I understand, been negotiating with such a body.
