§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the basis under his regulations of the pension entitlement of the widow of a former regular member of the Armed Forces.
§ Mr. ReynoldsThe principal conditions governing entitlement to a forces family pension of a widow of a retired member of the Armed Forces who dies today are that the husband must have been in receipt of a Service pension; that the marriage was contracted before his retirement; and in the case of widows of ranks below W.O.I that the husband gave service reckonable for pension after 31st August, 1950.
